This microprogram offers intensive training for Indigenous community members interested in the preservation and interpretation of Québec’s archaeological heritage.

The Microprogram in Archaeology for First Peoples offers intensive training for Indigenous community member who are interested in the preservation and interpretation of archaeological heritage in Québec. By integrating Indigenous knowledge with Western approaches to scientific knowledge, the program aims to develop a holistic understanding of archaeology while promoting the values of respect, empowerment, and self-determination for Indigenous Peoples. You will acquire the practical and theoretical skills essential to an ethical understanding of archaeological research, protection, and management of archaeological heritage, while contributing to the Indigenization of archaeological practices in Québec.
